Hey, I have a question:

Do you have a link to an available ARM-device-targeted C++ compiler, or one which will work for iPhone OF applications? It seems that a lot of the issue with iPhone development (at least for me, imho...) is the lack of a compiler which would basically turn my C++ source code into an iPhone app. I had heard about one for Apple's XCode, but I don't have an Apple computer. Does XCode run on Linux/*nix-based/Windoze plats? Does this ARM compiler also work on these plats? If not, is there another one I can use?

Basically:

IN[*.h, *.cpp] -> OUT[*.ipa]

This article might be helpful:

How Windows and Linux developers can bypass the iPhone
SDK and write iPhone apps using open source tools

http://www.maxhorvath.com/documents/programming_for_iphone_using_l/eclipse-iphone-cdt.pdf

although, it looks like such a pain, you might be better off installing an x86 copy of OSX on your PC... (might need to google that if you havent heard about it)

Here's some more, for anyone familiar (or unfamiliar, for that matter) with Jailbreaking, iPhwn, Saurik, Telesphoreo, or the iPhone Dev Team:

iPhwn Wiki: http://wikee.iphwn.org/main
Google Code pages: http://code.google.com/p/iphone-devteam/
iPhone Dev Blog: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/
Saurik's Site: http://www.saurik.com/
Telesphoreo Tangelo: http://apt.saurik.com/

Saurik is one of the major geniuses in charge of the iPhone Dev Team (iPhwn), he developed Cydia (as in Cydia Pomonella, roughly "Apple Worm") and also maintains the iPhone Dev Team's Cydia APT repository, Telesphoreo Tangelo (Telesphoreo meaning roughly "To bring fruit to perfection or maturity").

The Telesphoreo project is the name of Saurik and iPhwn's initiative for Open Source development on the iPhone platform, following in the footsteps of GNU and BSD. Since it has such a similar mission to Memo, ofxiPhone, and the lot, I thought it would be relevant enough to put here.

Hello!
Just wanted to point out, that the wiki link http://wiki.openframeworks.cc/index.php?title=OfxiPhone_comprehensive_guide always brings me on the main wiki page.

Regards,
Gestalt
